The Friends of the Hutchinson County Historical Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 1998 to preserve and promote the rich history of Hutchinson County. We collaborate closely with the Hutchinson County Historical Museum to support the creation of new exhibits and maintain those that tell the story of the county’s farming, ranching, Native American heritage, and its pivotal role in oil development. Through financial contributions and volunteer efforts, we strive to educate the public and ensure that the legacy of Hutchinson County is preserved for future generations. Our work is made possible by donations from individuals and businesses, along with support from the Borger City Council, which allocates a portion of the hotel occupancy tax to fund our projects. Whether through donations or active involvement, your support helps us continue our mission of safeguarding the unique history of Hutchinson County and sharing it with the community. Donations are tax-deductible and can be made by mailing checks to 618 N. Main Street, Borger, Texas 79007, payable to “Friends of the Museum.” Your generosity is essential in keeping Hutchinson County’s history alive for generations to come.
